I am having lami &foraminal decompression for the burning pain inleft leg. what is? and what is done? have burning pain in leg for 8 months

The pinched nerve(s): Are released by removing the back wall of the spinal canal( in which the cord is located) {ie laminectomy to allow removal of the disc that has slipped out}, while foraminotomy (or f. Decom.) is the widening of the canal in which the nerve is located {as it comes out from the cord}, by removing bone from around the nerve, and this should relieve your leg pains.
