No: Your weight will always be a function of how many calories you take in versus how many you burn up. If your blood sugars have been high, you would lose calories through urinating sugar. When your sugars are under control, you do not have excess sugar in the urine and therefore do not lose those calories. That is why some people notice weight gain when they start treatment for diabetes.
