What is the difference between diabetes type 1 and 2?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Type 2 diabetes, it's increased by age, family history and (70-90%) obesity -- which causes Insulin resistance, necessitating higher Insulin by your pancreas and eventually exhausts pancreas' ability to make sufficient insulin. Symptoms are thirst, urination, weight loss, visual blurring, fatigue, etc. Type 1 is caused by lack of Insulin secretion, not excess.
