Sugar in urine: Glycosuria is the term used to describe excess sugar spilling into your urine. If your blood is full of sugar, a lot of it will spill into your urine. Water goes with it leading to excessive urination and thirst. This occurs in both uncontrolled type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

Renal glycosuria..: Implies a disorder where kidney leaks glucose into urine , even though blood sugar levels normal diabetes not well controlled leak sugar into urine when blood sugar > 220 or so.
