Antibiotics: You can have pertussis, even if you had vaccination. Usually cause of antibiotics can help. Talk to infectious disease or pulmonologist. Acid reflux can contribute to chronic cough.

How long the cough?: Are you wheezing? Is there fever? How long have you smoked? Do you vomit after coughing? Do you have gerd. Do you cough during sleep? Barking cough implies tracheitis, inflammation of trachea. You may need laryngoscopy if the cough doesn't improve. Do you have anxiety history? Cough can be a somatic symptom of anxiety.
