A member asked:

Where is a sweat test usually done? at a hospital?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Peds office: Sweat tests are mostly done to detect the presence (or not) of cystic fibrosis in a patient. This is an important distinction for treatment of a patient who has a positive test as well as having some implications for the genetic lineage in a given family.
