Ultrasound: While blunt trauma to the scrotum often causes testis or epididymis swelling, it is not a common etiology of infectious orchitis. I don't disagree with the rx for antibiotics but i would definitely want to see a doppler scrotal ultrasound to make certain you didn't suffer a testis fracture or hemorrhage. Otherwise it likely will take several weeks for the swelling and discomfort to subside.
