PFT Lab...: A methacholine challenge test is done in a pulmonary function lab. Some PFT labs in a pulmonologist's office are equipped to do this test. Hospital PFT labs are equipped to do this test.

Usually: Done in the Pulmonologist or doctors office which could also be . It is kind of test to induce bronchospasm in response to methacholine expected in Asthma patients when the diagnosis of Asthma is suspected. during the test an aerosol of methacholine is given. Pre and post spirometer test are down. At the end of the test you may be given a bronchodilator to assess reversibility of the bronchspasm
