Colloid nodules: Are generally benign, but if you've had an ultrasound and biopsy you should have a good idea of what your nodule is already. Generally no surgery is needed or recommended. Make sure your thyroid replacement is brand name T4 and that your levels are kept normal. Repeat ultrasound at intervals.

Benign: A colloid nodule is one of the most common benign thyroid nodules. These occur for unknown reasons, typically run in families. No treatment is needed unless they get very big and affect swallowing or breathing. They typically are not removed.
