Hi today i took thyroid it's written there is a 9 * 6 mm sized small echogenic solid nodule with smooth margins in the left love of thyroid.no other focal or diffuse lesion is seen. impression: echogenic solid nodule likely to be colloid nodule?

Nodule: A colloid nodule of the thyroid is a benign growth that doesn't turn cancerous. I'm unsure if a thyroid ultrasound test alone can be sure that the nodule is a colloid one and whether a fine needle biopsy is needed for definitive diagnosis. For this reason I recommend consulting an endocrinologist or head and neck surgeon for advice, followup and peace of mind.
