Otolarygologist: Could be a variety of things from mastoiditis to secondarily infected follicular cyst, to swollen occipital lymph nodes and posterior auricular nodes due to some nearby infection (ear, scalp). Best to see gp if you have hmo plan to get referral to ENT if they deem appropriate. With a ppo plan you can schedule an appointment with either on your own.
