Maybe,maybe not: The duration of antibiotic use is meant to kill the germs inside the middle ear space.After the germs are dead, there is usually a period where fluid debris remains within that space.This should eventually drain out your eustachian tube to the throat and air return to the middle ear space. The popping reflects partial obstruction of the tube. An exam could decide if this is still infected.
