Had strep, was on the z-pak. symptoms improved but throat was still sore and the ear bothered me. now on clindamycin for 10 days for an ear infection. ear feels less sore/full but throat on the right side is sore. could this be drainage from the ear?

Was your strep throat infection proven by a positive throat culture? Antibiotics are ineffective in viral throat infections. Is the throat soreness on the same side as the ear infection? It's possible that some throat soreness may be referred from an inflamed ear drum but soreness wouldn't be from ear drainage.
