Yes: It is possible to have a normal ekg and cxr and still have a heart problem. Left arm pain is not a characteristic pain for coronary artery disease. Risk assessment and a good history and physical exam have to done by your doctor. If we are talking about coronary disease, pressure chest pain associated with activities and better with rest is the typical symptom.

Clinical exam: Any result is only as good as the test performed and unfortunately there is no perfect clinical test out there. While a normal ekg and cxr are very reassuring they are only a small piece of the pie. Any ongoing clinical symptoms should be discussed with your physician to decide if more invasive testing is needed. Focus on healthy diet and exercise under the supervision of your physician.
