should doc be aware of placental location before emerg c section?

Dr. Bryan Treacy

Yes and No: If truly an emergency, the placental location does not matter. Ideally, placental location is known ahead of time. Once a cesarean is in progress, placental location becomes very evident if it is low and attached to the front of the uterine wall.
