A member asked:

Can docs please explain are c-section births recomended for mothers with hpv?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies: There is some risk the baby would acquire the virus at birth, but the form of delivery remains optional. Those with genital warts risk having these appear on their babies genitals in the first 2+ years after birth and some will have the warts appear on their vocal cords.Neither is acceptable to some, and many elect cs to avoid this.
