Breastfeeding can stop normal menstruation, thus a woman may not have a period the entire time she's breastfeeding. If not, then period may come as soon as 6 weeks after cesarean, but could definitely take longer even without breastfeeding. You'll release egg prior to menses, so use birth control if worried.
