The basics:: Keep your body weight normal. If you are obese, lose some weight - even 5-10% will make a difference. Most critical, though, is to get active and stay active. You really don't have to be a "jock." but you must move. Walking is a great place to start. Be aware of your carbohydrate intake, and begin to pare down your sugars and starchy foods.
