Stay healthy: Your fasting glucose (before meal) should be between 80 & 120. Your sugar 2 hours after you eat should be < 140. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. Keep your blood pressure < 130/80. Keep your hbba1c < 7. Keep your body mass index (bmi) < 30 (ideally < 25). Keep your LDL (bad cholesterol) < 100, your HDL >45, and triglycerides < 150. Follow a diabeic diet, take your medicines, see your doctor.

Control HbA1C: Keep your hemoglobin A1c (hba1c) under 6.5%, take your meds, exercise daily, count carbs (and keep them at goal), and eat less saturated fats.
