Yes and No: Craving for eating ice or clay may mean that you have an iron deficiency (called pica). Most people just crave sweets, and those should be ignored -- eating sweets makes you fat. Who knows whether pregnant women wanting pickles in peanut butter are truly seeking nutrients that the baby is needing, but i won't argue with that one. In that case, i drive to the store to make mama happy!
