A member asked:

Does food today really contain less nutrients than it used to?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Farming practices do not recycle the minerals through the use of manure. So even the vegetables are compromised. Vitamin enrichment is not good enough in many common foods. A great deal of illness is coming from too many calories with insufficient vitamin concentration and i call it "high calorie malnutrition".
