Variety & water: Eat a meal with a variety of foods within an hour after a workout. Don't wait long. Your muscles will not rebuild as well, and you'll lose some of the benefit of your hard work, if you don't feed them soon after a workout. The variety of foods should include carbohydrates (including perhaps 35g of simple carbs/sugar to get glycogen back into muscles), protein for building muscle, fruits, vegs.
