Vitamin D is vital: This is not a simple question. The more we learn about vitamin d the more it appears we should all be on supplements. The sun exposure one needs also includes the need for the sun to be at a certain angle in the sky and this physics part of exposure is partly why sun in general is not the key to good vitamin d. We do not absorb vitamin d very well from food. Many adults should not be on milk.
