Colon surgery 7 days ago.since yesterday have flatulence, stomach is big(have single kidney which has some problems).what is the solution?any medicine?

Postop ileus: 7 days after colon surgery you most probably have a postop ileus. That is where the colon peristalsis has not returned trapping gas. Alot of issues postop contribute to this..Amount of anesthesia, narcotic pain meds and immobility. Staying on liquids/low residue diet and using daily non-magnesium) laxatives to wait out the process are the usual measure, but all should eventually come around.
