Can't really get RID: Of scars, but you can reduce their noticibility. Use a cream called Mederma to reduce the appearance of scars. Topical verapamil cream may help too.

Topical silicone: Silicone gel patches and certain topical silicones (kelocote, biocornium) have been shown to reduce redness and help flatten scars. Scar massage, even with plain vaseline, get also help. Don't know if this is a good idea in your specific situation. Treatment is always safest with professional supervision.
