Antifungal: Is your scar in a warm moist area? You may have a minor skin fungal overgrowth, that becomes itchy and is often associated with red patches. Try hairdryer to area after shower, then apply antifungal powder or lotion. Nystatin, lotrimine are antifungals, available at most pharmacies over the counter. Be well.

Location?: Would need more information. Where is the scar? etc. Resubmit your question with more information.

Followup: I would followup with your surgeon and have him or her look at it. There are a number of different causes from having a small retained suture to having an occult infection. Don't hesitate to be seen in followup.
