A member asked:

Is the fattening of meat good for you?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The fat on meat is the fat of an animal, which is saturated fat, which is not good for you. Saturated fats are known to raise your "bad" cholesterol and lower your "good" cholesterol. All fats have more calories than protein (the meat or muscle of the animal) and therefore can also make you fat faster too. Get lean cuts of meat and cut off the fatty edge! good question!
