Not sure: Clay colored stool is usually associated with lack of bile salts in the stool. Have the whites of your eyes or your skin turned yellow? Possible causes include: gallstones, hepatitis, biliary cirrhosis, as well as issues occlusions of bile ducts or biliary tree. Please have this change in bowel habitus medically evaluated.
