Short answer, yes: His GI tract is still getting used to digestion. As long as the stool normalized as you say, i don't think there is a problem. Similar things happened with our 3 kids, all resolved by next bowel movement, was transient, and not associated with any other symptoms like pain, crying, vomiting, feeding difficulty, etc. If this is the case, no worries. If any other symptoms occur, see pediatrician.
