A member asked:

I had a ct scan of my liver and it came out negative. does that mean my liver is ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Frequently evaluation of liver enzymes (blood test) is more sensitive. It is only after a disease causes an anatomical change that it can be detected on ct. Infection such a hepatitis, or early cirrhosis can have a normal ct exam.
