Would hypochondria cause you to develop symptoms or make your pains worse?

SURE: If you worry enough you can make things worse. Proboblem: there might actually be somethiing wrong so have your dr check it out. If nothing is wrong, then you want to see a therapist to do something about the worrying.

Quite possibly: Hypochondria is now called health anxiety disorder. It occurs when a person becomes obsessed with the idea that they have serious medical problems /condition (when there is no diagnosed condition).
