Hard to tell: You are asking for a diagnosis of a lesion of unknown origin, without being able to visualize the lesion, without knowing the size or how long it has been there, and without knowing your medical and social history. These lesions are usually nothing, but then again it could be serious. It is in your best interest to have it examine by an oral surgeon.

Spot on tongue: There are several possibilites. One could be traumatic ulcer from rubbing against something. If it has only been there a few days and is getting smaller treating it with something like orabase may make it feel better but if it does not go away in 7-10 days you should visit your dentist and have it checked out.
