Lactose intolerance: Many people have or develop lactose intolerance as they get older or if they have been frequently treated with antibiotics (which kill the lactobacilli that digest the lactose). There are otc products (lactaid & dairy ease are 2) to take before eating dairy products; they provide the lactase enzyme that breaks down milk sugar. One can also buy lactase-treated milk & lactose-free ice cream. —>.
