No: Lactose intolerance generally means you do not have the enzyme needed for proper digestion and absorption of the main sugar in cow milk. You cannot digest it, but germs in your gut will and cause you gas, cramping and loose stools. You can likely digest things like sharp cheddar cheese, a dairy product where the lactose has been depleted by the creation of the cheese.It is not an allergy
