IT MAY BE NORMAL BUT: There is normally smell of blood when menstruating and that is normal and for some it may be very unpleasant smell.But if the odor has changed lately from what it was before and it is bothering you than see your gynecologist to rule out a bacterial infection.

Probably: It is common to see vaginal bleeding in your urine while on your period since the urethral opening and the vagina are so close. It is not normal to actually have blood in the urine that isn't a vaginal contaminate. Hope that helps.

It can.: Not all menstrual blood is fresh blood. If the menstrual blood is older, it can have an odor or darker color. There are other causes of vaginal odor, too (bacterial vaginosis for example), so if you're uncertain, it's always a good idea to speak with your doctor.
