Use an antibiotic : If the infection is localized, wash the area with soap and water daily. Dress the region with a topical antibiotic like neosporin and apply a sterile bandage. Repeat this daily until the problem resolves. If you have streaking or a fever, or the infection is getting worse, you should consult your podiatrist or urgent care center.
