Plenty: > 500mg: Good question. Vicodin is a good pain medication, but it is important to know that it is a combination of tylenol (acetaminophen) and a narcotic (hydrocodone). You should not take regular tylenol along with vicodin as you risk Acetaminophen od and liver damage. It is ok to combine vicodin with advil or mortin (ibuprofen). Vicodin comes in 2 strengths: 5mg/500mg (acetaminophen) and 7.5mg/750mg.
