Sitting in certain positions r painful, my knee gets red and hot sometimes and red sploches on it. what causes this?

Needs to be checked: Knee pain and red splotches can be caused due to many conditions and i will recommend if it is persisting get it checked.It may be nothing serious like bursitis or another inflsammatory condition, or some conditions like erythema nodosum an allergic condition, gout, trauma to the knee, blood disorders like leukemia, scurvy, viral disase, and few other rare conditions.So get it checked.
