A member asked:

After sitting for a while with my right leg tucked under mg right knee i stood up and my calf was red swollen and felt heavy. what can cause this?

Compressed veins: When you bend your leg underneath you can compress the veins behind your knee. This can cause the blood to back up into your calf. There is the chance that you may even form a blood clot. However, if the swelling resolved quickly then you are probably ok. If you have continued swelling and pain you should see your doctor.
