My knee is swollen , itchy , red, hot to touch and painful in an area, could this be a boil or something else?

Could be.: It could be a boil, could be something else - like an infection or arthritis in the knee joint. Don't take chances with your knees - if it is something significant, you won't be able to walk without proper treatment. See your doctor and find out for sure what it is.
