Various causes: Sometimes this is normal if it's very quiet and you hear it. It can be caused by negative pressure or fluid in the middle ear. Tumors or growths of the middle ear or vascular anomalies can cause this. This has an extensive list of possibilities. You need a good ENT history, exam, and hearing test. This is important to follow-up.
