A member asked:

What could cause hypoglycemia and a migraine atthe same time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not Eating: Hypoglycemia means low blood glucose (sugar). It happens when you have not eaten for awhile or in diabetics who have taken too much insulin. Food gives your body energy. Energy comes from glucose in food. When you haven't eaten, your glucose levels drop & you no longer have energy for your body to work properly. Your brain always needs glucose to function & you can get migraines if do not have it.
