Pain in upper abdome: Symptoms of peptic ulcer are
pain in abdomen anywhere from navel to breast bone, pain worse on empty stomach and better after eating, flares up at night, relief by taking acid supressors, disappear for few days and return again, nausea and vomiting, vomiting blood sometime, unexplained weight loss
tests are endoscopy preferred, upper GI xrays, not done much these days as endoscopy gives you the diagnosis.
