What exactly does it mean when you pinch your skin and it stays white for 20 seconds?

Interesting: Question. Generally pinching the skin is done during a capillary refill test whereby one presses the finger pad skin long enough for it to turn white and then observes how long it takes for color to return once pressure is released. This is a measure of peripheral blood perfusion. The test can be highly variable between patients. I would advise you to see your physician if you don't feel well.
