Wound, ulcer, lesion: A sore on the skin includes a wound, ulcer, or any open skin lesion. A sore which has not healed in 4 weeks could be a sign of skin cancer. The sooner skin cancer is properly diagnosed & treated the better the chances for effective treatment. I wish you well with your health!
