See Below: You may have to explore on a deeper level the lack of motivation. Fluctuations in blood sugar will affect your emotional health. I would suggest talking to a health psychologist who will help you with skills needed to cope with diabetes and be adherent with diabetes treatment. You might also consider medication if there's a need. Good luck!

Motivation: Changing lifestyle habits is hard enough by itself. Many people also get stuck in depression & self-loathing; these heap suffering on top. I agree with dr. Fox's suggestion about health psychology -- you'll benefit from reviewing your situation with a professional, and can access additional treatment as needed. Along with this, nutrition coaches can support you with education & accountability.
