Second opinion: The best thing to do when your diagnosis and treatment seems to lack effectiveness is to seek a second opinion. Most doctors welcome this if they have a less than successful treatment plan as the patient can improve and they can learn something from it. Being a doctor is a continuous process of self edcation and this is part of it.
