Fusion is an option: Fusion is always an option. It is a matter of what you are willing to give for this. If you have fusion, you lose motion. The longer the fusion which is likely with scoliosis the more motion you lose. It is a large surgery with significant pain and long recovery. Moreover, the complication rate and need additional surgery is high like 30%. So, you need to be very sure you NEED and WANT the surgery
