May be helpful: Atomoxetine is an antidepressant with properties that may help people with adhd when traditional medications such as Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and ritalin/concerta are either not effective or cause side effects. It does have properties of improving focus and attention as well as relieving anxiety. It a second tier medication after Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and ritalin/concerta have been tried.

Atomoxetine: Strattera (atomoxetine) is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It has less abuse potential than stimulants, it covers symptoms for 24 hours, but it takes a week or so to start showing effects.
