A member asked:

I was stitched up afterwards, but some say that does not prevent dry socket. how do i know if i have it?

Pain: The hallmark for dry socket is extreme pain that feels like it radiates to your ear and entire lower jaw. Usually things seem ok for the first couple days after the surgery then around 72hrs, the pain hits you like a ton of bricks. If you are just having a little soreness you're probably alright, otherwise have it checked out.
